The CWD BASIC is a combustion calorimeter designed for the direct and continuous determination of gas quality and its associated key parameters. As part of the CWD series – Calorimetry, Wobbe Index and Specific Gravity – it provides reliable measurement of calorific and heating value, Wobbe index, specific density, and CARI (air requirement).

With its flexible configuration and various application and measurement ranges, the CWD BASIC can be adapted to a wide range of industrial gas measurement requirements. Typical applications include the steel industry, natural gas networks, and refineries, where continuous and reliable monitoring of gas quality is essential.

The system offers the option of variable measurement ranges and can also be configured to cover multiple measurement ranges with a single device. For applications involving low-calorific gases, an optional carrier gas supply extends the measurement capabilities of the CWD BASIC, providing additional flexibility for demanding industrial processes.
