The CWD DPC (Direct Purge Certified) is a specialized combustion calorimeter designed for the direct and continuous determination of gas quality in potentially explosive atmospheres. As part of the CWD series – Calorimetry, Wobbe Index and Specific Gravity – it provides reliable measurement of key gas quality parameters, including calorific and heating value, Wobbe index, specific density, and CARI (air requirement).

The CWD DPC has been specifically developed for applications requiring certified operation in hazardous environments. It is approved for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups B, C and D, Temperature Class T4. Certification was carried out by SGS North America, an NRTL (Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory), confirming compliance with relevant safety requirements, including UL 61010-1 (3rd Edition), NFPA 496 (2013), and ANSI/ISA 1212.01.

The system is designed for stationary installation in enclosed areas and requires an external power supply and compressed-air supply for operation. Its combination of continuous gas quality measurement and certified design makes the CWD DPC particularly suitable for industrial processes where reliable measurement must be ensured in potentially explosive environments.
